The Department of International Trade and Finance paid a visit to the Afyonkarahisar Provincial Directorate of Trade on May 23, 2025, with the aim of strengthening sectoral cooperation. The visit was attended by Vice Head of the Department, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Letife Özdemir, Dr. Berfu İlter, and fourth-year students. The delegation was welcomed by Mr. Mahmut Yayla, Director of the Provincial Directorate of Trade, at his office.
Within the scope of the visit, Mr. Mahmut Yayla delivered an informative presentation on the duties and responsibilities of Provincial Directorates of Trade. In addition, a presentation titled “Consumer Protection” was delivered by Hasibe Mut Kabu. In the continuation of the program, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Letife Özdemir provided information to the directorate staff about the thesis and non-thesis Master’s programs in International Trade and Finance.
The visit was considered productive in terms of enhancing public–university cooperation and providing students with the opportunity to gain closer insight into the sector.
